The 2009 Whatcom Hospice Pro-Am Golf Classic held September 16 and 17 at Lake Padden Golf Course raised $85,500 to benefit Whatcom Hospice! The first place team was "Alliance Team." For the 2nd year in a row, Chris Jorgensen was the winning pro.

On Wednesday night, September 16, participants enjoyed a wonderful country style BBQ dinner and a pro auction to determine their team’s pairing with the 32 golf pros. The pro-auction alone raised nearly $30,000!

On Thursday 128 players (32 teams) took to the spectacular tree-lined course on a gorgeous sunny day. The 18-hole championship course measures 6,675 yards and plays approximately 20% longer than the actual yardage. The traditional layout offers holes that are tucked away into the wooded rolling grounds that make players feel they are on their own personal course. The goal of the Whatcom Hospice Pro-Am Golf Classic is to raise funds for Hospice to assess medical needs, provide social and spiritual services, and offer comfort and support for patients and their families.
