2014 Whatcom Hospice Pro-Am Golf Classic

2014 first place Team Wicknick consisted of Meade Sprouse, Chris Bothel,
Paul Berube, Trevin Williams (pro), and tournament chair Steve Swank.

The 7th Annual Whatcom Hospice Pro-Am Golf Classic held August 7 and 8, 2014 raised more than $145,000 for Whatcom Hospice! Isaac Henry-Cano was the winning pro, and Team Wicknick was the first place team. Steve Swank served as this year's Golf Classic chair.

On Thursday night, the public was invited to join players and pros at the beautiful Hotel Bellwether Ballroom for a scrumptious prime rib and salmon dinner. During the evening’s pro-auction, players bid to determine their team’s pairing with the tournament's golf pros. Comedian Pat Cashman served as the emcee for the evening's event.

On Friday morning, 32 teams hit the links at Lake Padden Golf Course for an enjoyable day of golf. The spectacular, tree-lined 18-hole championship course measures 6,675 yards and plays approximately 20% longer than the actual yardage. The traditional layout offers holes that are tucked away into the wooded rolling grounds that make players feel they are on their own personal course. Because of the partnership of our many generous sponsors, every penny contributed through the tournament supports local patient care through the community Hospice program, and Hospice House. We’d like to offer a very special thanks to Pro Sponsor Birch Equipment, Media Sponsor Cascade Radio Group, Eagle Sponsors Baron & Company, Hotel Bellwether, Lake Padden, Windermere Management, and Heininger Holdings, and Birdie Sponsor H&R Special Springs.
